In this unit, we saw principally the different definitions of architecture; as long as it have a lot of different explanations and different point of views to introduce it; we can say that architecture is the process of creating a building, or an art where the peronality of an architecture can be expressed, others will say that it’s a mix betwen ingeneering and art, and the list is still long and rich. We talked by the same occasion about the different concepts of today concerning architecture.
In this unit, we had also a general view about architecture through history, it’s development throurgh time and eras.
As an introductive unit, we can’t walk past the reflections and the quotes of the most important architects in the world as: Marcus Vitruvius Pollio who said: architecture is the art of building, William Morris, Adolf Loos, Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris (Le Corbusier)….
